Harry Potter’s house is up for sale. The home used as 4 Privet Drive in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is on the market in the UK for #475,000 GBP pounds. The detached property, in Martins Heron, in Bracknell, near Reading in England was the set for the Dursleys home in the first Harry Potter movie. Producers picked it in 2001. In the film, the boy wizard, played by Daniel Radcliffe, was forced to live under the stairs by his cruel Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon. It features three bedrooms and a large garden. The listing reads: “Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac location, this detached property has recently undergone complete renovation to an extremely high standard.” It was last sold for #290,000 GBP pounds in May 2010.

Charles Streeter – Actor from the Magic Circle

When Nick Hilton director of the Magic Circle introduce me to his web series about adult Harry Potter fans. I found it to be quite entertaining even making me laugh at times. But there was one actor that always stuck out from the rest, his name is Charles Streeter. Charles character Kris seemed unlike the others he stood out from all the rest. So I asked Nick to pass these questions to Charles and here is his replies to my questions.

What made you audition for the Magic Circle or want to join in on it?
CHARLES: I saw the audition come up on a casting website, for a web series about Harry Potter fans. Immediately I saw comic value, and something lots of people could relate to. Upon reading the script I was proved right, as I laughed out loud, and it took me back to being twelve years old and wanting to board the Hogwarts Express (I’m still waiting for my letter).

Why was Kris’s attitude to the group more serious than the others?
CHARLES:I always thought that Kris’s view points and dialogue in the scripts made him seem a lot more researched (or at least that’s what he thought) than the other characters in the group. His love of the literature over the “so called movies” is standout. He considers himself the ultimate ardent fan.

What was your favorite part of the series in the Magic Circle?
CHARLES: My favourite part of the series is the outdoor barbecue in Harry Potter and the Sad Veggie Quiche. The scene was originally supposed to be shot on a hot, sunny day. On the day itself, weather was against and we all got soaked. But due to our director Nick pushing on, the rain made for a funny typically British scene.

What house would Kris be in if he was sorted into a house in Hogwarts?
CHARLES: I’d like to think Kris believes he has all the best attributes of each of the houses bar Hufflepuff. He’s as brave as a Gryffindor, as researched as a Ravenclaw, with the nasty bite of a Slytherin.

What can we see you in next like any future projects you have coming up?
CHARLES: I’ve just been cast in a short film Medace, shooting in Dorset at the end of this month and am currently developing my own short, shooting in the new year.

Many thanks to Charles for answering my questions also you can follow him on twitter and see him in the Magic Circle. Also be sure to thank Nick for bringing this to us. He’s a brilliant writer and amazing director.

Charles Streeter – Actor from the Magic Circle

The Magic Circle

Many thanks to Nick Hilton for introducing us to the Magic Circle, his sixth episode is out and while being introduced to his web series it was a different take on an interesting subject adults talking about a fandom we all come to love Harry Potter. Many of us grew up with Harry and now that many of us are adults now. This was something that let us relive that part of our childhood past.

After viewing all 6 episodes and knowing that this is the last of it. It’s sad to see it end. The wittiness of the actors and the setting was positively amusing. Not only could you hear people talk about things you remembered but they also felt passionately about it. The five actors that played in the series were perfectly matched. I think out of all of them my favorite was of course Kris played by Charles Streeter. He was always the negative character in the group and always someone you wanted to hear his opinion. I found him to be a rather interesting person in the series. I found him to be the offset of the group.

Here’s a little about the series:

The Magic Circle is very much an indie production. The gear and talent have been donated for free and we put the show together in and around other jobs. It’s all filmed on location in London (England, not Ontario…sorry…) and is very much a collaborative piece. There’s loads of fantastic independent cinema happening in London, and, by and large, it gets overlooked, but I think The Magic Circle is an example of what can be put together for the price of a few sandwiches by a committed crew.

You can view all six episodes of the Magic Circle at magiccirclewebseries. I wanna thank Nick Hilton for sharing with us his series and wish him luck in the future with other projects. Down below you can view the sixth episode.

Nick Hilton – The Magic Circle

The Magic Circle

Have you ever wondered about what goes on at an ‘adult Harry Potter discussion group’? No?! Well, now you’ll never need to anyway! The Magic Circle is a brand new web-series that explores the lives, loves and relationships of a group of Harry Potter fans who really ought to have moved on with their lives… But the boy wizard continues to work his magic and the books still exert a powerful hold…

Each episode will be around 4 minutes long, making it a light and easy watch. Episodes 2 and 3 will be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Created by Nick Hilton (The Flight of the Flamingo) and starring Danielle Arden, Gigi Burgdorf, Grant Leat, Tori Louis and Charles Streeter, The Magic Circle brings the endlessly enthusiastic Harry Potter community a new, and very different set of characters to love. Cassie’s the edgy hipster who doesn’t want her boyfriend finding out about her Harry Potter obsession; Steve’s the geek who’s pining after her; Debbie’s the repressed librarian who lives in the wizarding world; Helen’s the divorcee who set up the group to combat her loneliness; and Kris is, well, a ‘pedantic Slytherin’, to put it mildly.
