“I shouldn’t laugh at you Billy … but I will” Cripple Billy, orphaned since birth, just might have found a way off the Isle of Aran and a route all the way to Hollywood if he can persuade a small community of Islanders how much he wants to realize his dream. Daniel Radcliffe take the lead role. ‘Cripple’ Billy Claven is eager to broaden his horizons and escape the gossip, poverty and boredom of the small isle of Inishmaan. After learning that a Hollywood film crew will be setting up camp on the neighboring isle to create a documentary about life on the islands, Billy takes a chance and tries out for a part in the film. Surprisingly, he succeeds and sets out to prove to everyone how much he wants to realize his dream.
