Creative Partners Publishing House announced earlier this month that it had rebooted author Randy Jernigan’s fan book series and will now be including four biographical sketches into one book and will be adding music super-star Taylor Swift to the first addition. The new title of the fan book series is Stars That Make A Difference. Celebrity sketches will include Daniel Radcliffe, Ellen Degeneres, Marie Osmond and Taylor Swift.
“I had my issues with this idea when my publishing partners and legal team first approached me about it, but after listening to their reasoning I began to see the value in it,” Jernigan said at the time. The book series has attracted a large amount of tabloid press referring to the book as a “tell-all” and sensationalizing his words in interviews regarding actor Daniel Radcliffe and television talk show host Ellen Degeneres, which the author and publishing house has repeatedly denied on Jernigan’s social media sites. “A friend once described his dealing with these tabloids by saying, ‘it’s like punching jello—it’s totally futile and you just want to give up’ and I totally agree.”
“There is nothing gossipy or sensational about this book series but is a serious look at the lives and careers of four celebrities that have made a positive impact in the lives of their fans,” said Jernigan. “We’re being very careful in our final edits not to include anything that could be interpreted as salacious or sensational so as not to give the tabloid press an opportunity to strike again. These false media reports can be mean spirited and do damage to reputations. They take your words and reconfigure them into something you never said and this is not what this book series is about.”
According to Jernigan, the changes will prolong the release date to a mid to late Fall publication date. To insure accuracy each biographical sketch will be vetted by the celebrity’s legal or management team and in some cases the celebrity themselves.
Stars That Make A Difference will be available through Creative Partners Fan Books as well as Amazon and Kindle.
Creative Partners Publishing author Randy Jernigan has taken to his Facebook page responding to several sensationalized press reports regarding his upcoming book, “The Life and Career of Daniel Radcliffe.” The first installment in a series of “fan books” being published by the company.
“Please know that this book, “The Life and Career of Daniel Radcliffe” is not a tell-all, sensationalistic styled book as some media has reported. This work has been very well researched and my sources used when gathering the information are very solid. It is an honest and forthright look at a great actor and individual. Please understand that I I have the utmost respect for Dan as an actor, as a humanitarian, and as a person. This book is one that his fans will appreciate, I’m sure.” Randy Jernigan 5/27/14
