Eloy Bernal has created something beautiful. As an inspiration to women in science. He created a scientific calculator cover project with Casio in Spain. Jess Wade was an inspiration to him. He got in contact with 12 artists who created the drawings for the covers. Which you can see below.
It was an inspiration to Ana Sostres, a 12 year old girl, with her Sophie Germain calculator and her work about Sophie . She now wants to be a scientist. With these theme inspired calculators. Eloy is looking to spread this worldwide. To give our youth hope that they too can achieve the dream to be something like these inspirational role models.
Giving visibility to many women scientist around the World would help drastically on breaking gender stereotypes in early ages! It’s all about education! It’s a project that has been in works and looks like an amazing idea. These calculators are only available in Spain currently. But let’s hope these go far. Maybe your son or daughter will be able to use one in their school.
