Many thanks to Nick Hilton for introducing us to the Magic Circle, his sixth episode is out and while being introduced to his web series it was a different take on an interesting subject adults talking about a fandom we all come to love Harry Potter. Many of us grew up with Harry and now that many of us are adults now. This was something that let us relive that part of our childhood past.
After viewing all 6 episodes and knowing that this is the last of it. It’s sad to see it end. The wittiness of the actors and the setting was positively amusing. Not only could you hear people talk about things you remembered but they also felt passionately about it. The five actors that played in the series were perfectly matched. I think out of all of them my favorite was of course Kris played by Charles Streeter. He was always the negative character in the group and always someone you wanted to hear his opinion. I found him to be a rather interesting person in the series. I found him to be the offset of the group.
Here’s a little about the series:
The Magic Circle is very much an indie production. The gear and talent have been donated for free and we put the show together in and around other jobs. It’s all filmed on location in London (England, not Ontario…sorry…) and is very much a collaborative piece. There’s loads of fantastic independent cinema happening in London, and, by and large, it gets overlooked, but I think The Magic Circle is an example of what can be put together for the price of a few sandwiches by a committed crew.
