Thanks to Ian Preston for sending this in. There is a wonderful little girl in Mexico .. who is in the final stages of leukemia… Her dream is to meet Harry Potter… She’s 4 and has spent two years of her short life in the hospital already. Down below is the video Gigi did and here’s her page.

On Tuesday, Checkology® students at two NYC schools saw The Lifespan of A Fact — followed by a talkback, moderated by NLP founder and CEO Alan Miller (left), with director Leigh Silverman and actors Bobby Cannavale, Daniel Radcliffe and Cherry Jones. The topic: “true” versus “true-ish.”

The 30-minute Q&A covered a number of topics, such as the importance of the arts and the ability to enjoy a movie “based on a true story” without looking up every fact upon leaving the theater. The actors also had a strong message for the students, describing how their roles in the play had strengthened their respect for journalism and for real-life fact-checkers. In fact, in preparation for this part, Radcliffe shadowed a fact-checker at The New Yorker.  

“It gave me incredible faith,” Radcliffe said, noting that he was “inspired” by the “people out there who are doing this job and doing it amazingly rigorously.”

Happy News Years to you all. We’ve had quite an interesting year here at SDR. First I had the pleasure of meeting Susanne in Hollywood at Dan’s Star. She’s been helping out with our facebook groups. I cannot thank her enough for everything she’s posted for us on Lifespan of a Fact. Also Dan’s Google Plus shared one of our video’s from the Walking Dead Special on Robot Chicken. That video soared to 90K viewers.

I’ve got to read some interesting novels thanks to Rockstar Book Tours. Who led me to some very creative authors just to name a few: Marci Lyn Curtis, Anna Abner, Ann Aguirre and Jennifer Woodhull.

It’s been a very interesting year and we have more coming with Miracle Workers, Playmobil and hopefully Guns Akimbo which I am really looking forward to. I hope you all have had a nice year.
