Where was Daniel Radcliffe when he first learned he would play Harry Potter? “I was in the bath at the time,” he said while filming Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. “My dad came running in and said, ‘Guess who they want to play Harry Potter?’ and I started to cry. It was probably the best moment of my life.” Part of the genuine thrill of the Potter films have been watching its three stars grow up before us on the big screen, in real time. But it’s easy to forget just how young they really were when they first started out. So we used some fancy computer age wizardry to, erm, transmaturate Mr. Radcliffe from when he was a wee 11 years old to his current age of 21 in the final film(s) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

As the Times Square ball drops on another new year, Broadway.com asked which of the many upcoming star performances you’re most eager to catch on Broadway in 2011. The votes are in, and fans can’t wait to welcome Daniel Radcliffe back on Broadway. The Harry Potter actor, who will star as J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying beginning February 26 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, scored 41% of votes.

Harry Potter reshoot ‘proves costly’

Warner Bros bosses are reportedly unhappy with the cost involved in reshooting scenes for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two.

Several members of the cast, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, recently confirmed that they had to film epilogue scenes again. The King’s Cross station scenes were shot on location earlier this year, but will be re-shot at the Leavesden set this month.

The Sun reports that the decision was made due to how much the cast had been aged in the scenes wherein they appear 19 years older.

“The cast and crew had a private giggle that the film has become ‘Harry Potter and The Costly Hallows’,” a source said. “They had all said an emotional goodbye to the filming they loved, so it was good news for them as they heard they had to come back.

“Their bosses haven’t been laughing, though. They had to recreate King’s Cross at Leavesden, which has been a huge expense.”

They added: “The professional term for the re-shoots is ‘pick-ups’ but everyone knows it’s a bit more serious than that. It will be extremely costly.”

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two will be released on July 15 next year.

Daniel Radcliffe no longer under Nick Clegg’s spell after tuition fees debacle

He was once under the spell of Nick Clegg and the Liberal Democrats – but Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has distanced himself from the party after the controversy about university tuition fees. Daniel, 21, helped drum up support among his young fans by publicly backing the Lib Dems during the Election and he continued to give his endorsement after the Coalition was formed.

He said of Nick Clegg in September: ‘He comes from absolutely the right place in terms of what his values are.’

But now Daniel is said to be ‘underwhelmed’ by the party after the U-turn over fees and is keen to play down his association with them.

A source inside the party said: ‘Daniel does not in any way support the violence of the rioters, but to say he is underwhelmed by his party is an understatement. Like millions of others he was under the impression that the Liberal Democrats had no plans to increase the cost of studying.

I also fixed the affiliate page and the affiliate form. We have about 1000 images in the gallery so far but there will be more to come once I sort them out on my computer.
