I did a few updates to the site- I fixed the Dan section and took off a few pages and simplified it. I also added a small graphics project with photos of Young Dan. You can see both pages here and here. I also added a few recent videos to the Playmobil Playlist I created which is viewable in the last post. And a few new photos are in the gallery for you to view. I also have two book reviews coming real soon.

First I would like to wish Dan a very Happy Birthday. This card was made for you and thanks to all the people who participated especially my dear and close friends. It been 30 years and such a magnificent era of a man we all love and cherish. He made us happy, overjoyed and at times made us cry, but not out of sadness but of happiness. Have a very Happy Birthday Dan from all of us at SDR.

The new series of Who Do You Think You Are? will start on Monday 22 July 2019, with the first episode following Daniel Radcliffe’s quest to uncover his family history.
The episode, which will be broadcast at 9pm on BBC One on 22 July, will see Radcliffe discovering one ancestor who became a successful Hatton Garden jeweler before meeting a tragic fate, and another who wrote moving letters from the front line of the First World War.
Prejudiced police accused the Jewish businessman of faking the raid to claim insurance cash. So, destitute and shamed, Sam took his life aged 42. An emotional Daniel says: “Everything he had worked for and that his father had worked for, has sort of been destroyed.
“You want to just reach into the past and just go ‘whatever you’re going through, you have so much to offer the people who are around you still . . . you have so much to give to them. And, they still would all have loved you’.”
Daniel doesn’t rule out that his great grandfather could have faked the robbery, though there was no proof. Tragically, the insurance company eventually paid the claim — but only after Sam’s suicide.
With a backdrop of rising British fascism under Sir Oswald Mosley, there was strong evidence detectives were anti-Semitic and reluctant to properly investigate the crime. A police report said: “Jews are so frequently responsible for the bringing down of their own business premises.”
Daniel, whose family descended from Russian and German immigrants, though he was raised an atheist, is shocked by the prejudice.
Daniel says of the report: “There’s a lot to dig into in that one sentence. It’s very jarring to see being a Jew to be taken as a piece of evidence in itself.” Shortly after the events, which took place in the year of the infamous Battle of Cable Street clash between fascists and local people in London’s East End, the family anglicised its name from Gershon to Gresham. Claims the robbery were faked and the suicide became public knowledge, which must have been tough for Sam’s wife Raie.
Daniel, who says he has always been surrounded by strong women in his life, admires his great grandmother’s “extraordinary shielding work” in protecting her daughters. The actor, whose hit Potter films include 2010’s Deathly Hallows, adds: “It’s fascinating to find that maybe the strongest of all of them was this woman I knew almost nothing about.”
One of the daughters affected was Daniel’s “Granny Pat”. He also uncovers a photo of his great, great grandfather Louis, who bore a striking resemblance.
Changing it up this year for our birthday project. So I am going to work on a photo mosaic portrait with Dan as the center of it and his fans in the back of it. So i need basic pics of you it will be like a fan dedication to him for his birthday. I’ll be making a birthday card out of it so send in your names they will be included with a greeting.

I’ve been cleaning up the site a bit. I redesigned the press archive to be a bit more user friendly option. No more going from page to page just drop down each year and select your article. Also there was a glitch with icon archive its been fixed sadly no more accordion style layout, but no more image glitches. I did a few color changes to certain pages to match the theme too.
Rearranged a few things and fixed missing files on some of the pages.
On the Birthday Project we haven’t gotten many submission in fact hardly any at all only two submissions were sent. It gets harder every year to do this and I cannot do this without you. In order to have a project we need people to participate. If you have any other things to add they will be welcomed.

Daniel Radcliffe is entering the world of Kimmy Schmidt. The “Harry Potter” actor will star in the upcoming “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” interactive special at Netflix, set to debut in 2020.
The special will see Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) set off on her biggest adventure yet across three states. As with Netflix’s “Black Mirror: Bandersnatch” movie and other interactive shows, viewers will be able to make choices on behalf of the show’s characters and take them down different story branches — and they’ll get different jokes.
In announcing the addition of Radcliffe, Netflix also teased the appearance of Kimmy’s kidnapper, the Rev. Dr. Richard Wayne Gary Wayne played by Jon Hamm, in the special. Cast returning for the interactive special include Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane.
Netflix’s order for the special came after the fourth and final season of the show dropped in January. In its announcement, Netflix quoted Tina Fey, co-creator and executive producer, as saying the interactive special “will be a great way to officially complete the series.”
